This blog is meant to be the place to view my latest “sermons”. I tend to call that part of the worship service at Trinity United Church in Oakville the “teaching time”, because I think that allows me a little more freedom.
The idea of “sharing bread along the way” is that this is what fellow pilgrims do. My hope is that people will make use of the comment function on this blog, and offer their constructive insights.
I am a United Church of Canada minister who lives and works in Oakville, Ontario. In most of my writing I attempt to bridge the gap between the “mystical” and the “practical”; the sense of God’s presence and how in our daily living we respond to that Presence. I think that theology, and much of scripture is made up of poetic attempts to come to terms with the ultimate mystery of life and God.
Outside of my work in the church, I am happily occupied with my family, and with running. I have completed my training and study with the Jubilee Program in Spiritual Formation and Direction, and have added a small spiritual direction practice to my life in ministry.
